Teaching

Since graduating in 2006, education and teaching has played an important role within my career as a working professional dance artist. As one of the lead tutors for Cardiff based company, Earthfall, I have led many workshops, technique classes and creative sessions to a wide variety of schools, colleges and universities. I have also led professional development classes within Cardiff for the local arts community. In addition to my dance teaching, I have now began to expand and develop my skills as a teacher within mainstream education, working as a Teaching Assistant within primary schools and behavioural units for children with emotional problems.

My style of dance teaching is adaptable to each class that I am exposed to. My skills range from a highly technical class with influences from Cunningham and Horton techniques, to a more robust physical class focusing on strength, conditioning and contact skills.
