TONGUES is the new performance by Joon Dance made for and with young people. Instead of making a show we thing you'll like, we'd like to make it with you. Join us for a week of dance and spoken word and perform with us at your local theatre.

The project is free* to take part and you can attend whether you're an experienced dancer or poet or you never moved/wrote/acted before. All that matters is you're interested in expressing yourself.

You can book onto one week at your preferred venue or, if you like even come to more than one if you're able to travel.

Not sure if its for you? Come to a taster session and try us out, with no obligation to do the rest of the project. Or, if it sounds right up your street, click the button to download a booking form!

Talking to Horses
2019

TONGUES later developed into a new duet, 'Talking to Horses'

Joined by a bridle bit, the way a horse is to its rider, two dancers become one creature, roving around. Occasionally they pause to disagree, each wanting to move in a different direction. They struggle, fighting to take control, then find a way to communicate and collaborate.

Talking to Horses invites the audience to slow down – an intimate and surreal piece.

Commissioned by Articulture in collaboration with Surge, Scotland, with the support of The Arts Council of Wales, Welsh Government and the National Lottery.
